Jacob Hemphill (he/him) is an actor/musician/producer born and raised on Prince Edward Island. After graduating with an Honours Bachelor in Theatre & Opera at Dalhousie University back in April 2020, Jacob can’t begin to express how grateful he is to be performing and creating art during this time. His latest endeavour has been co-founding Kitbag Theatre alongside Melissa MacKenzie and Rebecca Parent to bring as much accessible professional theatre to the Island as possible. Recent credits include: The Songs of Johnny & June, The Princess & The Handmaiden, Tuesdays & Sundays (Kitbag Theatre); The Songs of Anne & Gilbert (The Guild); Boeing Boeing, Crimes of The Heart, Dial ‘M’ for Murder, A Moon for the Misbegotten (Watermark Theatre).

Josh (he/him) and Sam Langille (he/him) are musicians from Stratford, PEI. Born into a family of kitchen party singers, toe-tappers, and flattop pickers, the Langille brothers grew up surrounded by music. They now play with many Island artists, including folk singers Shane Pendergast and Nick Doneff, country singers Lawrence Maxwell and Scott Mackay, blues-pop singer Logan Richard, and are often employed for session work. In addition, Josh and Sam are members of folk-rock band The Moneygoround and indie-rock band Absolute Losers. The Songs of Johnny and June is the Langille brothers’ first stage production of this kind, and they couldn’t be more excited to be involved!

Melissa MacKenzie (she/her) is an artist, educator, and activist from PEI. She’s trying to figure out how to build a life around storytelling, menstrual equity, and loving other humans. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance from Sheridan College and won’t shut up about endometriosis. Charlottetown native Rebecca Parent (she/her) is a theatre artist with over 15 years of professional experience. She is the French-language coordinator for Ontario art organization Sheatre, and sits on the executive committee of the Fédération culturelle de l'ÎPÉ. Selected acting credits: What a Young Wife Ought to Know, Unconscious At the Sistine Chapel (2b theatre), six seasons at the Watermark Theatre, Anne & Gilbert (Guild PEI), Top Girls (Lunasea), High School Musical (Neptune). Directing credits: A Christmas Carol (Watermark Theatre), The Songs of Johnny & June, Final Wave (Kitbag), The Hobbit (Montgomery Theatre), What to Wear to the Birth of a Nation (PEICA 2014 Commission).

Logan Richard (he/him) is a multi-award winning songwriter and performer based in Charlottetown, PE. After picking up the guitar at the age of ten, Richard has been in numerous musical projects, and has shared stages with the likes of Marianas Trench, Paper Lions, and Gordie Sampson. In 2017, Logan began to focus more on his writing, and began to release music under his own name. Since then, Logan has seen many successes, and has often been referred to as one of the Maritimes’ young rising stars. Though his focus has drifted more towards songwriting and performing, Logan is still known across the Maritimes for his unique, and tasteful guitar playing. 2022 is set to be a banner year for Richard, and if you would like to tag along for the ride, he and his music can be found on any and all streaming services, all social media platforms, or on his website loganrichardmusic.com.
