Q&A

JOE COBDEN

Following the performance of a play there is often a Q&A, usually an awkward and revealing ritual.
This Q&A follows a play the audience HASN'T seen. The Q&A IS the play.

The real audience is invited to ask questions and play their part, while the answers from the cast and moderator reveal a dysfunctional backstage and a bankrupt theatre company slipping into obsolescence. It's increasingly absurd and ridiculous, a selfie for theatre, a send up of the self-importance, the masks of listening, the out-of-control egos, and the desperate attempt to stay current (and funded).
