ACCESSIBILITY HUB PROJECT MANAGER

Eastern Front Theatre (EFT) is looking for a Project Manager for the creation of the Accessibility Hub, Phase Two of the Accessibility Project.


The Accessibility Hub will be a comprehensive free online resource that features current definitions, service providers, accessibility standards, and tips. Information learned in Phase One, including recommendations from the Accessibility Project Report and stats from the first Accessibility Survey will be featured on the website, as well as service providers in the region, upcoming training sessions/learning opportunities, and venue information.


The Project Manager will facilitate all aspects and execution of the project according to the timeline, and will be actively involved in every step, including, but not limited to:

  • Determining the breakdown of activities and job descriptions for all project staff

  • Seeking out and hiring project staff - includes contracting and payroll

  • Conducting regular meetings with staff/supporters/EFT to provide updates and troubleshoot

  • Connecting and partnering with organizations with compatible goals and missions

  • Creating and implementing community sponsorship campaign

  • Distributing annual Accessibility Survey

  • Overseeing website creation and manage timelines

  • Conducting beta testing of website

  • Creating long term plan for keeping the website up-to-date and operational

  • Collaborating on final report for grant

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Able to work independently and set own deadlines

  • Attention to detail

  • Effective interpersonal skills with experience managing people

  • Strong written communication

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Comfort with online software like Zoom, Google Suite, etc.

  • Personal interest in the initiative

This is an independent contract position that will run for approximately eight months with an average of 4 hours of work per week. Pay is set at $25/hour. The majority of the hours are able to be completed remotely. This contract is based in Dartmouth/Punamu’kwati’jk, but is open to residents of Nova Scotia/Mi’kma’ki.
