Laura, who has recently returned home to Antigonish, and her acting partner Ralph spent years creating and touring shows about Patsy Cline and Hank Williams. This is the story of their relationship behind the scenes, intermingled with scenes and music from past plays. It is a charming, intimate memoir about the power of music to bring people together.
The Team
Ralph Steiner was born and raised on a dairy farm in Cowansville Quebec. He started his musical theatre career in the vibrant community theatre scene in Knowlton in the 90’s. He has starred in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Musicman. His professional debut was in Hank Williams… The Show He Never Gave in 2000. He is a well know musician in the Townships, having performed at hundreds of weddings, dances parties and even funerals. He is a carpenter and studied technical theatre design; as comfortable backstage as onstage. When he walks barefoot down the street, people shout, “Hi Hank!”

Laura Teasdale lived in Quebec for twenty-five years, but about a year ago she came back home to Nova Scotia and she couldn’t be happier. She has performed on stage at Theatre Lac Brome, The Centaur, Saidye Bronfman, The Piggery, Hudson Village Theatre & Geordie Theatre to name a few. She keeps the bread buttered by doing voices in cartoons. Laura has written the plays: Honky Tonk Blue-The Night Patsy Met Hank, Home Child & Woodswalker. She appeared this past summer in Festival Antigonish. Laura also teaches drama, music and storytelling and sings with her band, “The Lovely Brothers”. When she walks down the street, people often holler “Howdy, Miss Patsy!”
