This two-week festival closes out our season every year with a celebration of theatre in all stages of development.
The festival is jam-packed with full productions (which can be brand new or well-traveled), play-readings, professional development workshops, special events, AND community outreach. We try to have something for everyone!
Eastern Front Theatre focuses on Atlantic Canadian work, so STAGES is our chance to also bring in memorable theatre from other provinces to share with our Halifax audiences. We are proud that the festival is seen as a catalyst - providing opportunities for new and emerging companies to have their work presented, giving smaller theatre companies a chance to reach a broader audience for their work and providing a way for the community to hear works-in-progress.
The festival is currently postponed due to COVID-19, but we hope to present the entire lineup as it stands, later this year.
Join us on social media from May 18-31 as we feature a different STAGES participant each day. Help us celebrate the amazing artists we have here in Atlantic Canada!
