Halifax, NS – Artistic Producer Scott Burke announced today a national call for submissions for the 18^th Annual SuperNova Theatre Festival. Atlantic Canada’s national professional theatre festival will be held May 18-29, 2011 in the Neptune Studio Theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The SuperNova Theatre Festival features eclectic, innovative theatre from across the country and right here at home in Nova Scotia.

 We invite companies and artists from across Canada who wish to have their work considered for presentation in the SuperNova Theatre Festival to submit a proposal to the Artistic Producer. We are particularly interested in original productions for mature audiences with running times of 60-90 minutes.

Deadline for submissions is November 1, 2010.

 Proposals should include the following:

• A one-page proposal describing the existing or planned production
• A list of participating artists and CV’s of key artists
• A script sample or completed script
• Any related reviews of your work
• A DVD archive and/or promotional recording

 Submissions will be accepted by mail only and must be received or postmarked by November 1st, 2010.  Applications found of interest will be contacted no later than January 2011.
