The Call for Submissions to Eastern Front Theatre’s 19th Annual SuperNova Theatre Festival is now closed.  We thank the companies and artists who have submitted their proposals and look forward to announcing the full line-up in March with the festival opening in May at the Neptune Studio Theatre.

The 19^th annual SuperNova Theatre Festival offers Halifax audiences an incomparable opportunity to see touring theatre productions from across Canada and compelling new work from here at home. SuperNova audiences will enjoy programming that offers ‘something for everyone’ that is sure to enlighten, educate and most important:  entertain!

Call for Submissions

19th Annual SuperNova Theatre Festival

Halifax, NS – Eastern Front Theatre announced today a call for submissions for the 19th Annual SuperNova Theatre Festival. Atlantic Canada’s national professional theatre festival will be held May 9-20, 2012 in the Neptune Studio Theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The SuperNova Theatre Festival features eclectic, innovative theatre from across the country and in collaboration with professional theatre companies in Nova Scotia.

We invite companies and artists who wish to have their work considered for presentation in the SuperNova Theatre Festival to submit a proposal to the Festival Curator. We are particularly interested in original productions for mature audiences with running times of 60-90 minutes.

Deadline for submissions is November 1, 2011.

Proposals should include the following:

• A one-page proposal describing the existing or planned production
• A list of participating artists and CV’s of key artists
• A script sample or completed script
• Any related reviews of your work
• A DVD archive and/or promotional recording
